Almost 30 kilometers of the S19 expressway in Podkarpacie were made available to drivers. On Monday, three sections were put into operation – from the Rudnik nad Sanem junction to the Łowisko junction. This route will be part of the Via Carpatia route. The open part of the road will shorten the journey between Lublin and Rzeszów.
The head of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Andrzej Adamczyk, said that more sections of Via Carpatia will be commissioned in a dozen or so days. “Until April next year, we will travel this route from Rzeszów to Lublin. However, in 2024 we will get from Rzeszów to Białystok “- he announced.
A new section of S19 – from the Rudnik nad Sanem junction to the Łowisko junction
– With each completed section of the S19, we are getting closer to the Via Carpatia route. This route is extremely important for the economic development of the entire Podkarpacie region and all regions through which it will run. It will open the region more widely not only to Lublin and the eastern part of our country, to the Baltic states, but also to the south of Europe. Every Pole has the right to use safe, predictable and comfortable roads – said Minister of Infrastructure Andrzej Adamczyk.
