On Saturday morning, a fire broke out in the city of Vilanova and La Geltru near Barcelona. The fire spread in the chemical warehouse of one of the local factories. In the morning, about 150,000 inhabitants of the Barcelona and Tarragon provinces received a command from the services to stay at home.
A fire of the factory producing materials for cleaning pools in the city of Vilanova and La Geltru, took a chemical magazine with 70 tons of chlorine. Firefighters managed to prevent fire to the other warehouses. The authorities reported that there were no victims.
Fire near Barcelona – a warning for residents
In addition to the fire brigade teams, staff dealing with chemical threats also arrived at the place of the event.

The cause of the fire at Barcelona is unknown for now
For safety reasons, traffic on some roads was limited, and trains did not stop at all stations. Sports and cultural activities in the region were also canceled.
