IMGW warns of storms. Forecasters have issued first and second degree alarms. The message states that during lightning, winds may accelerate to 70 kilometers per hour.

Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMWM) issued first and second degree meteorological warnings on a three-point, ascending scale.

Second degree warnings ahead storms are valid in the province Subcarpathianexcept for the counties of: Lubaczów, Jarosław, IndustryPrzemyśl, Bieszczady, Lesko, Sanok.

Thunderstorms are forecast, which in places will be accompanied by very heavy rainfall from 35 to 50 liters of water per square meter, and wind gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour. Locally, hail will also fall. Warnings will be valid until 7 a.m. on Friday.

First-degree storm warnings were issued in the following provinces:

  • Subcarpathianin the following counties: Lubaczów, JarosÅ‚aw, PrzemyÅ›l, PrzemyÅ›l, Bieszczady, Lesko, Sanok, where the alarms will be valid until 7 a.m. on Friday;
  • Lublinin the eastern counties, where warnings will be in force from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday;
  • Podlasiein the eastern counties, where alarms will be valid from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday.

Thunderstorms are forecast, which in places will be accompanied by heavy rainfall from 15 to 35 l/sq m and wind gusts accelerating to 70 km/h. Hail will appear locally.
