– This scandal shows that scaring people who are fleeing war, death and terrible things that rich northern countries have done in other parts of the world is pure manipulation on the part of PiS – said Agata Diduszko-Zyglewska from the Left.
– In sociology, this is called fear management, which means we point out, basically we mount, things showing these people as non-humans. We know this from history, so the fact that PiS let in a lot of people for money at the same time shows how populist and frivolous this government is, also in the context of security, she said.
– PiS likes to talk a lot about Poland’s security, but we see where it has security, and it doesn’t care about it. The refugee situation is a serious issue that cannot be resolved at the level of one country. Only our strong position in the European Union can allow the entire European Union to resolve this matter, she added.
