Journalists Andrzej Stankiewicz (Onet) and Justyna Dobrosz-Oracz (“Gazeta Wyborcza”) talked about the visa scandal at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in “Fakty po Faktach”. Stankiewicz assessed that an organized criminal group operated in the Ministry of Diplomacy. He also talked about his text and the latest reports that Indians recruited by former deputy minister Piotr Wawrzyk pretended to be Bollywood film crews. – I have documented every word in this text – he emphasized. – We simply have smugglers in the government – said Dobrosz-Oracz.
On Thursday, the Onet portal revealed further information in the visa scandal. As he wrote, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Piotr Wawrzyk was thrown out of the government and the PiS list because he helped his colleagues create an illegal channel for transporting immigrants from Asia and Africa through Europe to the United States. The portal presented details of one of the most impressive transfers of illegal immigrants from… India. According to reports The Indians recruited by Wawrzyk pretended to be Bollywood film crews. Everyone paid 25-40 thousand dollars to be transferred to America.
Stankiewicz: an organized criminal group operated in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The author of the Onet article and deputy editor-in-chief of this portal, Andrzej Stankiewicz, and the journalist of “Gazeta Wyborcza” Justyna Dobrosz-Oracz, talked about the latest reports on irregularities in issuing visas in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24.
– When I first heard about it, I thought someone was trying to set me up. I didn’t think it was possible. Unfortunately, I have documented everything, every word in this text. Because there is evidence of this in the form of e-mails, documents, copies, passports and so on – said Stankiewicz.
When asked by the host of the program, Anita Werner, whether in his opinion “an organized criminal group operated at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs?”, he replied: – Yes, of course, an organized criminal group operated.
The TVN24 guest referred to the Thursday conference of the prosecutor’s office, which announced that in the investigation into irregularities in issuing visas, until now the prosecutor brought charges against 7 people. Three people are under temporary arrest.
Stankiewicz noted that no charges were brought against any officials, but against “private persons”. – These private individuals organized a system of pressure on consuls to issue visas? Private individuals did this? Were (…) these seven civilians able to organize a system of pressure on Polish diplomacy to issue hundreds or thousands of illegal visas without the involvement of a political factor? Without the participation of politicians who sit in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs? Well, no, he said.
Dobrosz-Oracz: we simply have smugglers in the government
Dobrosz-Oracz assessed that “Law and Justice he is trying to save his skin, because the matter is out of their control.” – At the beginning, they wanted to cover it up completely. When “Gazeta Wyborcza” revealed that Minister Wawrzyk had flown, all PiS politicians started laughing – she pointed out.
In her opinion, “this entire narrative, this myth of tight borders and Poland’s security is collapsing before our eyes.” – We just have smugglers in the government. You have to tell yourself this openly, she added.
