There may always be a situation where you don’t know that something is not delivered in Poland. We are a sometimes dictated country – said former spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Łukasz Jasina in the “#BezKitu Campaign” when asked about Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau’s knowledge about the visa scandal and the use of Polish visas on a mass scale, about which the Polish side was informed by the American services.

In September, TVN24 obtained correspondence between: Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Lewiatan Confederation regarding the process of granting work visas to Poland. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs itself drew attention in one of the fragments of the letter to the fact that USA information has arrived about the abuse of documents issued by Polish officials in Mexico by citizens Georgia.

Jasina: we are a sometimes dictatorial country

The then spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Łukasz Jasina, was asked on Friday during the “#BezKitu Campaign” what the head of the ministry knew about this matter. Zbigniew Rau. – In the case of the services, procedures were very strictly followed and it is easy to say who knew and who did not know – said Jasina.

– The American services certainly passed this on to our services. Who have the services already passed this on to here in the country? I don’t know, he added. To the suggestion that the head of the Ministry of Diplomacy should be informed about this, Yasina replied: – Of course, there can always be a situation where one does not know that something has not been delivered in Poland. We are a sometimes dictated country, but logically yes. But how was it? I don’t know.

Yasina stated that during this time – while working at the ministry – he talked to Rau “more or less every day.”

When asked whether he thought that the minister should tell him, as the press spokesman, about the visa scandal, he replied that “it is the minister (…) who decides for his subordinates which things are important to him and what he expects from them,” and not the other way around. – It is possible that the minister – but this is only my assumption – did not consider that any matter might appear in the media and therefore I do not have to be privy to it – added Radomir Wit’s guest.
