Visa scandal. Ryszard Schnepf: The minister is mocking reality. We are dealing with massive sales of visa permits

Former Polish ambassador to the United States Ryszard Schnepf commented on the visa scandal and the words of the Minister of Justice in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24 Zbigniew Ziobro, who argued that the “real scandals” occurred during the previous governments.

– The minister is mocking reality. Today we are dealing with the mass sale of visa permits of various types. These are usually work permits, said the diplomat. – Poland is breaking all records in the European Union. 35 percent of all Schengen visas granted with the right to work are the result of the activities of our consular service – he pointed out.

Schnepf also pointed out that “Europe has a gigantic problem” with the influx of migrants. – Among other things, because European Union However, he tries to behave humanely. So don’t push them into the sea, don’t shoot with guns, don’t build walls or fences on which dead people will later hang, he said.

According to him, “it is extremely difficult and it is obvious that Brussels has a problem with it.” – And now putting this bomb inside the European Union means that parties that are anti-European, anti-immigrant, pro-Putin (…) are gaining strength because they have something to show – he said.

– We support this by breaking up the European Union from within. We are the driving force because it is now known all over the world that the immigrant route through Poland is the easiest, cheapest and safest. Because if you go by boat across the Mediterranean Sea, for example to the island of Lampedusa, which is not that far from the coast Tunisia, but many people die in the process. The route through Poland is safer and it is us, or rather the current government, that made it possible – he said.

The TVN24 guest also commented on Tuesday police intervention in Otwock against KO MP Kinga Gajewska. She was led by police officers to a police car and dragged into it. Witnesses to the event told the officers that she was a member of parliament and that she herself was she later said in “Kropka nad i” – she wanted to identify herself, but they held her hands. The police, however, in statements issued later she wrote, among other things, that “police officers do not know all people with immunity” and “they obtain the necessary knowledge only after presenting their ID cards.”

Ryszard Schnepf admitted that he “was shocked when I saw the scenes yesterday.” – This vividly reminded me of the situation from around February 1980 – he said. – When I was going to class, on Browarna Street, in the Iberian studies department (…) a police station actually broke into me, because it was a few policemen who searched all the students, put me in handcuffs and took me to Jezuicka Street to the police station – he recalled.

He explained that the policeman then assessed that the content he presented during classes on political parties in Latin America was “inconsistent with the government’s policy.” That’s why he was taken for questioning. – Now in my mind’s eye I can see the situation that today, as an academic teacher, I encounter something similar, that the police come to me and say: you are saying inappropriate things, so we are taking you away and taking me to the police station – added the former ambassador .

According to the guest of “Rozmowa Piasecki”, the police in Otwock violated parliamentary immunity Gajewska. – There should be penalties and very, very deep apologies for this. I don’t know whether Mrs. Gajewska will want to accept them – he added.

The diplomat and historian also talked about the declassification by the head of the Ministry of National Defense, Mariusz Błaszczak, for the purposes of the election campaign, a fragment of a document regarding Poland’s security. In the special spot, Błaszczak did not show the entire defense plans, but selected a fragment claiming that “Tusk’s government was ready to give up half of Poland in the event of war.”

– I am intrigued by how far the terror of the Law and Justice leadership reaches when it reaches for such arguments that are, first of all, false – commented Schnepf. – For me, the opinion of outstanding and experienced generals, such as General (Mieczysław) Gocuł, General (Mirosław) Różański or General (Mieczysław) Cieniuch, is authoritative – he emphasized. According to him, “revealing this proves that there is panic” in the ruling camp. – This threatens our security in a very serious way – he added.
