The draft regulation of the Ministry of Interior and Administration was published on the website of the Government Legislation Center on Thursday. The document shows that February 6-7 in Gdańsk will be introduced wearing prohibited or moving in a discharged state all kinds of weapons.
The justification for the draft regulation states that the introduction of the ban is justified by the need to ensure an appropriate level safety during the event to be held in Gdańsk visits of European Union commissioners. The meeting was originally supposed to take place in January, but due to the absence of some delegations the date has changed.
The most important event of the Polish Presidency
The college consists of one member each Commissioner from everyone from 27 EU countries. Commissioners are appointed to serve as the political leadership of the European Commission for five years. The President of the Commission gives each commissioner responsibilities in specific policy areas.
The organization of the college visit is one of the first and most important projects each presidency of the European Union in the country holding it. It will be an event of the highest rank. Its participants will be, on the one hand all EU commissioners with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen in the lead, and on the other hand all members of the Council of Ministers with the Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the lead.
The visit included bilateral meetings and accompanying events.
Ministry of Interior and Administration: Threat from Russia
In justification Ministry of Interior and Administration added that due to the increased level of hybrid threats on the part of the Russian Federation and Belarus, including threats of terrorist and sabotageit is necessary to introduce additional security measures.
It was also pointed out that the law introduced by order of the Prime Minister is currently in force throughout Poland second alert level (BRAVO) and the second CRP alert level (BRAVO CRP).
