Today is the time to discuss what Polish-Ukrainian cooperation should look like after the war. And Poland, Poles have aspirations for this discussion to take place on the Polish side, said MP Paweł Kowal from the Civic Coalition. He referred to the planned visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Poland. Adrian Zandberg (Together) said that “our Polish interest is for Ukraine to rebuild itself as a stable, democratic and socially balanced country.”

An official one is planned for Wednesday, April 5 visit of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to Poland. He’s going to meet the president Andrzej Duda and prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Zelensky also wants to meet Poles and Ukrainians living in our country.

Kowal: Poles deserve more than just hearing about us being a hub

KO MP Paweł Kowal and Adrian Zandberg (Together) said on Monday in an interview with Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska in “Fakty po Faktach” what they expect from this visit.

The blacksmith said that two elements are the most important to him. – Firstly – emphasizing, and I expect this from President Zelensky, the participation of Poles in helping Ukrainian women, Ukrainians last year. It was a kind of humanitarian uprising in which practically all of us participated, and it is very important for us to emphasize this fact as well – he said.

He added that he expects and expects “a new Polish-Ukrainian treaty” from the Polish government. – I expect the activity to start to Ukraine finally started accession talks with the European Union, likewise Moldova. To open the doors to the Union for Georgiathat the three countries would finally have the door open, i.e. that the NATO preparation plan would be implemented for Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia, he said.

– And the key issue, i.e. the reconstruction of Ukraine. I see that the Germans are ahead of us today – added Kowal. – These are the things I expect, because Poles deserve more than just hearing that we are a hub. Today is the time to discuss what Polish-Ukrainian cooperation is supposed to look like after the war, and Poland, Poles aspire for this discussion to take place on the Polish side, to be full of initiatives, to be ahead of time, so that it doesn’t turn out later that it’s over again only applause – judged the KO MP.

Zandberg: it’s time to talk about the world after the war

Zandberg said he would not expect any new, groundbreaking “forms of assistance to be announced to support Ukraine in its defense effort.”

– On the other hand, I agree with Paweł Kowal that it is time to talk about the future, about the world after this war. About Polish-Ukrainian cooperation after the war, social, economic and reconstruction, he said.

He added that “our Polish interest is for Ukraine to rebuild itself as a stable, democratic and socially balanced country.”
