Wałbrzych. A parent recorded how babysitters treated children in the nursery. The prosecutor’s office launched an investigation

The Prosecutor’s Office in Wałbrzych (Lower Silesian Voivodeship) has launched an investigation into the mental and physical abuse of children from the city nursery. One of the parents recorded the caretakers of the facility, who allegedly spoke inappropriately to children, and informed the city authorities about everything. The employees and the director of the nursery lost their jobs, and the president notified the prosecutor’s office.

According to “Gazeta Wyborcza”, the city authorities to which the facility is subordinated notified one of the parents who recorded the inappropriate behavior of the tutors. He ripped the recordings onto two CDs and made transcripts of them. They are supposed to be evidence that children were intimidated and pulled.

Three babysitters and the headmistress fired

A press conference was held at the Wałbrzych city hall with the participation of the vice-president of Wałbrzych, a psychologist and a representative of the education department. It informed about the behavior of three babysitters working in nursery no. 6. It was reported that the women were verbally aggressive, used profanity in the presence of children, and behaved inappropriately. Officials said that the babysitters and the director of the facility were immediately removed from work and fired. A psychologist entered the nursery and help was provided to the children and parents. The prosecutor’s office was informed about the case.

The prosecutor’s office is investigating what happened at the nursery

The case is being handled by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Wałbrzych. The proceedings are conducted for the case, not against someone, which means that – at this stage – no one has been charged. The proceedings concern the mental and physical abuse of minors under the age of three. This act is punishable by up to eight years in prison. – The notification concerned the suspicion of using physical and psychological violence. It was submitted by the president of Wałbrzych, who in turn was informed by one of the parents whose child attended the nursery – informed Marcin Witkowski, head of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Wałbrzych. And he added: – There were also records in this notification, there are recordings that are supposed to prove that this care was exercised incorrectly and that a crime could have been committed. No one has been questioned in the case yet.
