The 37-year-old hid from the police behind a dryer with laundry in one of the apartments in Wałbrzych (Lower Silesian Voivodeship), and when identifying himself, he pretended to be his own brother. In the end, he was arrested anyway. He was wanted by the court for evasion of his maintenance obligation.

On Friday (March 31), police officers from Wałbrzych went to one of the apartments at ul. Paderewski in Wałbrzych, where the wanted man was supposed to be hiding. The woman who opened the door for them said she had not had contact with him for a long time.

– The police, however, did not believe her, and in the apartment, behind the unfolded dryer with laundry, they noticed a crouched man with a hood on his head. During the ID card, the Wałbrzych citizen tried to confuse the officers by showing his brother’s identity document and pretending to be him, said Commissioner Marcin Świeży, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Wałbrzych.
