He was on his way to work when he heard a scream and saw a scared woman running into the pharmacy with her child. The four-year-old was no longer breathing. The policeman gave the child first aid.

Sergeant Rafał Bolek from the Wałbrzych police station was getting into the car when he heard a cry for help. He noticed a woman holding a small child in her arms and running to a nearby pharmacy.

He ran after her. The desperate woman asked for help. It turned out that the four-year-old had an epileptic attack. The boy was blue and stopped breathing. The policeman took immediate action to save the toddler’s life. Keeping his cool, he started giving the child first aid.

An ambulance was called to the scene. The policeman continued resuscitation of the child, and finally the boy started breathing. The toddler and his mother were taken by ambulance to the hospital.
