Waldemar Pawlak: The result of Szymon Hołownia in the election can decide about the winning of Trzaskowski

– You need a president who would be the president of peace – said former Prime Minister Waldemar Pawlak about Szymon Hołownia in “Facts after Facts”, who in the latest presidential survey for “Facts” TVN and TVN24 won 5 percent support.

The latest opinion survey24 for “Facts” TVN and TVN24 shows that Rafał Trzaskowski would win in both the first and second round of presidential elections. Most respondents (33 percent) would vote for May 18 for a candidate of the Civic Coalition. The candidate came in second PIS Karol Nawrocki, who can count on 22 percent support. The podium is completed by the confederation candidate Sławomir Mentzen with a score of 15 percent.

This survey shows that for the Polish candidate 2050 and PSL Szymon Hołownia wants to vote 5 percent of respondents. Waldemar Pawlak commented on “Facts after Facts” on TVN24 that “it is very important that we treat this first round as an examination of the views of the whole society.” – We are in the face of a threat and in such a situation, when it is a risk, because the war is right at the Polish border, you need a president who would be the president of peace. That is, one that connects various environments and does not lead to confrontation – argued the former prime minister.

In his opinion, Szymon Hołownia was a good choice for a candidate because “for today he is the only candidate who is a candidate of peace.” – We'll see what the results of the first round will be. For me it is also very interesting if we are only susceptible and relying on emotional actions as a society (…), or whether it is rational that we are trying to go beyond these areas of hatred – he added.

Pawlak: PSL members support Szymon Hołownia

Pawlak asked if PSL supports financially and whether he would continue to support a candidate who has 5 percent support for now, assured that “members of the PSL support Szymon Hołownia.” He noted that the message of the Speaker of the Sejm “is very difficult to pass in the mainstream media”.

However, when asked whether the poor result of Hołownia in the presidential election will mean the end of the project Third Droga, he replied: – Not necessarily, because it may turn out that this result of Szymon Hołownia will decide to win Rafał Trzaskowski.

The former prime minister noticed that the candidate KO “is missing just these few percent” in the polls. – So it may turn out that this is a decisive few percent – said Pawlak.

– In the first round, I think that it will be very important that we also encourage people to such a really reflective and rational vote to show that we need more peace in our country, and less such fierceness and confrontation, because the situation is dangerous – said Waldemar Pawlak. He also pointed out that there is great economic uncertainty in connection with customs policy Donald Trump.
