From November 27 in Syria the offensive of the Islamic coalitions began fighters against the army subordinated to President Bashar al-Assad. In just a few dozen hours, the rebels managed to capture several important cities, including: two million inhabitants of Aleppo.
The fighting units include, among others members of the Turkestan Islamic Partywhose activities focus on the Idlib region. As Kiev Post journalists say, the unit were trained by the Ukrainian special unit “Chemik” Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Ukrainy.

According to information obtained by Kiev Post journalists, units of the Turkestan Islamic Party took part in training relating primarily to tactics on the battlefield. Ukrainian units, using their experience from the war in Ukraine, organized exercises, including: using drones.
One example of supporting activities was attack carried out on September 15 on a Russian military base on the southeastern outskirts of Aleppo. Then, the Ukrainian military carried out an effective operation to blow up the warehouses. The whole thing was observed by rebels who were undergoing training at the time.
The authors, using anonymous sources in Ukrainian intelligence, tried to verify previous reports regarding the direct participation of Ukrainian military personnel in the fighting. As it turns out, there is no evidence to prove this, although, as noted, there are already known examples Ukrainians' involvement in fighting against Russian mercenary groups, including In Mali.
