Dmytro Platenchuk spoke on Ukrainian state television about the future of the Crimean Bridge in the context of the war. According to the military officer, the Russians use the crossing to deliver expensive and modern equipment to the peninsula, and this is effectively destroyed by Ukrainians.
– The Russians are simply moving logistics there, it will be more susceptible to destruction – he stated, adding that currently Crimea there are five military airports which need to be supplied with, among other things, huge amounts of fuel.

The Ukrainian captain stressed that the Crimean Bridge is definitely one of the goals of the Armed Forces, but its destruction is very difficult and currently it would be of a purely political nature.
– Of course, the more sections are destroyed, the more difficult it will be to rebuild them. But this is the place where all the capabilities of our enemy and our capabilities converge. There is anti-aircraft defense, the Russians are trying to narrow the passage as much as possible. They do everything to protect themselves – he said.
– In any case, the Crimean Bridge is doomed to destruction, but now you can look at its usefulness for the Armed Forces Ukraine from a different perspective – added.

He also spoke about a possible attack on the Crimean Bridge head of Ukrainian military intelligence Kyrylo Budanov. According to the military, the crossing will be destroyed in the coming months.
– Everyone is working on long-range strikes and this (destruction of the bridge – ed.) This requires a comprehensive solution. Work is ongoing – he revealed.
Asked about the time needed to carry out the action and whether it could be the next few months, Budanov stated that “there are chances for that”.
