Macron, during a joint press conference with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier, raised, among other things, the issue of the war in Ukraine.

President France warned against reducing support for Ukraine. – Today, standing on the side of peace means strengthening the law. Peace is not surrender. Peace does not mean abandoning principles – said Macron.

He added that peace means “giving the country the opportunity to defend its borders and sovereignty.” Steinmeier also spoke in a similar tone, emphasizing that the military support for Kiev provided by Western allies should not be stopped.
