The former commander-in-chief of the Polish Armed Forces, General Mirosław Różański, pointed out in “Fakty po Faktach” that “the recent decisions of the West regarding military support indicate that the military advantage will be on the side of Ukraine.” He assessed that the mobilization of tens of thousands more soldiers may not improve Russia’s situation, because every military must be equipped with equipment. And this one, as the general said, “is heavily damaged today by the defenders of Ukraine.”

General Mirosław Różański was asked in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24 about a possible appointment by Vladimir Putin hundreds of thousands of new reservists and what impact on the development of the invasion on Ukraine in his opinion such a decision would have. – First of all, we must realize that on the one hand, combat operations are carried out with soldiers, and on the other hand, soldiers must be equipped with equipment. This equipment, on the Russian side, is heavily damaged today by the defenders of Ukraine. Russia already sends equipment from the past from the 1960s – replied the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces.

He noted that according to the reports of the Ukrainian side, several hundred soldiers per day are killed in the fighting. – I think that this situation will be noticed by the Russian society, which is no longer so positive about this “special military operation”, as Putin called it. This could also affect how people would react to the mobilization if it were extended today, he said.

“Previously, we have seen tens – or even hundreds of thousands – of young people fleeing Russia from conscription,” he recalled. “I think there would be a huge chaos here if Putin still wanted to wage war in this way, that is, send his people to death,” he said.

General Różański on air defense: a priority

The host of “Fakty po Faktach” asked Różański about the White House announcement military aid worth $682 million to strengthen the defense of the countries of the eastern flank FOR THISincluding Poland, and what it is worth spending the donated funds on. – Today, the first priority should be air defense. Observing the conflict in Ukraine, we see what is the greatest threat: missile systems, unmanned systems that carry such huge losses for Ukraine, for example, attacks on critical infrastructure – he pointed out.

– Today, if we were to make decisions, if I had to suggest, I would point out that this money should be directed to further development of a good program that we already have, so that we have good and tight air defense, protecting us against such threats from Russia – he said. “Because they’re real,” he added.

“I believe 2023 will be the year that militarily settles this war.”

When asked, in turn, who had a better chance of success at the front or whether, in his opinion, there could be a “bloody stagnation”, General Różański replied that in his opinion “there would be no stagnation”. “These recent decisions by the West regarding military support indicate that the military advantage will be on the side of Ukraine,” he noted.

“I believe that 2023 will be the year that will resolve this war militarily in favor of Ukraine,” he said.
