Russia has concentrated over 400,000 troops on Ukrainian territory, the Ukrainska Pravda website reported on Monday, citing Ukrainian intelligence data. According to the Meduza website, which is independent of the Kremlin, the Russian Ministry of Defense has started recruiting women for war as snipers and drone operators.

According to Meduza, a private military company called Redut, controlled by the Ministry of Defense Russiaannounced the recruitment of women for combat specializations in the Borz volunteer battalion, which was to be sent to war in Ukraine. The portal describes this based on recruitment advertisements on the Russian website VKontakte.

Mercenaries are offered a six-month contract with a salary starting from 220,000 rubles (less than PLN 10,000). If candidates do not have the skills to use weapons, they are provided with a month of preparation and training in Donetsk.
