“While Ukraine is preparing for Independence Day celebrations on August 24 – more than two and a half years since the start of The Kremlin full-scale invasion – the United States and an international coalition of some 50 allies and partners remain committed to supporting Ukraine's courageous defenders as they continue to fight against Russian aggression,” the statement said.

President Volodymyr Zelensky informed on social media that spoke to Joe Biden by phonewhich he presented to the Ukrainians wishes for Flag Day and Independence Day.

“The Ukrainian people are grateful to President Biden, his administration, Congress and the entire American nation for their unwavering support since the first days of the full-scale war. This allows us to survive and protect our statehood,” Zelensky wrote.
