US Secretary of State Marco Rubio talked by phone with the head of Russian diplomacy Sergei Lavrov. The discussion concerned Thursday talks in Paris, in which representatives of the USA, Ukraine, Great Britain, Germany and France took part.
On the conversation of Rubi -ławrow, a statement was issued by a spokeswoman for the Tammy Bruce State Department. “The Secretary of State Marco Rubio today talked to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergei with Sergei.
“Encouraging the adoption of RAM (regarding the achievement of peace – ed.) In Paris shows that peace is possible if all parties undertake to reach an agreement” – added in the announcement.
Rubio and Lavrov also informed about the telephone conversation Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “The Secretary of State, who was in Paris, informed about the conversations he and the special envoy of the President of the United States Steve Witkoff held there with representatives of Ukraine, France and a number of other European countries” – the Ministry's message sounds.
In Paris about Ukraine
On Thursday early afternoon in Paris, a meeting of Rubio and Witkoff with French President Emmanuel Macron took place. In the afternoon in the French capital, talks were held in a wider group, and the daily “Le Monde” among participants, in addition to US representatives, also mentioned a special US representative for Ukraine Keith Kellog, advisers of national security German and Great Britain of Jens Ploetner and Jonathan Powell and representatives of Ukraine: the head of the office of President Andriy Jermak, head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiha and the Minister of Defense Rustam Rustami.
