In my opinion, peace is necessary and, looking at previous experience, only the President of the United States as the most powerful military, nuclear and economic power in the world is able to force Russia a peaceful solution.

And whether this will consist in the fact that there will be an American army in a physical sense, whether this will consist in the fact that the President of the United States will say that if anyone touches the resources from which the US draws, he will find out how much America can defend their interests, then in my opinion there is just as strong security guarantee.

– Donald Trump began a very hard policy in which he demands to respect America's interests. First of all, in an economic sense. – So far, not much from Europe's actions. As before, not much resulted from the Minsk agreements. Putin did nothing of it, which shows the effectiveness, or rather the lack of it. That is why I will repeat that if someone is able to stop Putin, they are not European leaders, but the President of the United States. And therefore I keep calm because I know that Donald Trump can be effective.

– If necessary, it will of course be convened. For now, I plan to convene advice before the upcoming NATO summit in June.

Do you talk to such key things in the world more often with Donald Tusk or Radosław Sikorski? What does it look like in practice?

– I can't turn back time or change the historical moment. I act in such circumstances as they are, and I try to realize the interests of Poland as best as possible as I can do it. I am aware that my successor will have a difficult task because it will go on a difficult time.

– It is no secret that today this candidate who has a program closest to my heart, in the sense of action for Poland, but also the values ​​I adhere to is Karol Nawrocki. The program he recently presented is similar to my program, with which I won the election, which shows that I can count on continuation in many areas that I have dealt with so far.

Are you planning to get involved in an election campaign?

– No, I don't plan to take an active part in the presidential campaign. Let the candidates themselves campaign and convince voters that they are the best candidates for difficult and uncertain times. I have something to do, because Poland's security is as a president for me, the most important topic.
