Asked whether, through anti-Ukrainian rhetoric, the government is trying to show Confederation voters that it is negotiating hard with Ukraine, Morawiecki noted: – We don’t look at it that way.

– I regret that the Ukrainian oligarchs started pushing their grain onto the Polish market, without taking into account the interests of Polish farmers. They caused prices to crash. We had to guarantee a price of PLN 1,400 per tonne of Polish wheat – this was in spring. We have fulfilled all our promises and I do not see any threat now from Ukrainian grain because we have blocked this import, he said.

According to the Prime Minister, the government responded to the issue of grain from Ukraine “appropriately”. – Just European Commission in general, she did not want to implement any actions. Therefore, the best proof of this is the fact that we implemented unilateral actions: we wrote letters, called, talked. Asked whether Poland would still support Ukraine militarily, Morawiecki said that currently Poland was not transferring any weapons to Ukraine because now “we will arm ourselves with the most modern weapons.”
