The threat of an air attack was announced just after 5:20 a.m. Governor of Belgorod Oblast Vyacheslav Gladkov. A few minutes after the alarm went off, local authorities began reporting explosions and fires in various places in the region.

As it turned out, there were direct hits on two objects in the city itself, it was not stated whether they were critical infrastructure. The explosions were so strong that windows were broken in several houses. Several cars were also burned.

While the Ukrainian Armed Forces were shelling the Belgorod region, air defense forces in several regions of the country were facing Russian missiles and drones. Kiev has once again found itself in the crosshairs of the Russians.

“As a result of the rocket fire, two people were injured. One person was taken to hospital. All emergency services are on site. The effects of the attack are being eliminated” – we read in a statement issued by the Kiev Military Administration.

According to initial information, several means of air attack were used to attack the capital. The anti-aircraft defense had to eliminate, among others, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and Shahed drones.
