War in Ukraine. Russia rejects proposal. “There is no basis”

As reported, Russia will continue – as it calls – “special military operation” in Ukraine.

– This is not the first timewhen we hear such statements from representatives of the Kiev regime (this is how Moscow calls the Ukrainian government – editor's note). We are aware of their nature – said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov when asked about Zelensky’s plan.

– We continue our special military operation and we will achieve all our goals – said the Russian politician.

Referring to the Prime Minister's proposal IndiaPeskov stated that Russia “supports the need for a peaceful resolution of the conflict”but at the same time he stated that “more than obvious” is that currently “there is no basis for talks”.

Narendra-Modi said on Tuesday that in a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin “expressed support for a quick, peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine”. The contact between the Indian Prime Minister and the Russian dictator took place a few days after Modi's talks with Zelensky in Kiev.

Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Tuesday that he would present his peace plan the president of the USA Joe Bidenowi and his two potential successors – Wrong Harris i Donald Trump. The Ukrainian president did not reveal the details of his proposal.

As he said, Kiev's three-week offensive in the Russian Kursk region “she was part of his plan”but also included “other steps in the field of economy and diplomacy”. It is about forcing Moscow until the end of the war.

As noted by Reuters, Zelensky presses on Washingtonto allow the Ukrainian armed forces to use of American long-range weapons to strike deep into Russian territory.

Ukraine August 6 attacked the Russian Kursk region and has been operating there since then, while Russia is trying to repel the attack and continue the offensive in the Donetsk region.
