The Operational Command of the Branches of the Armed Forces announced on Friday morning that intense activity of Russian aviation related to missile strikes against Ukraine is being observed. “All necessary procedures to ensure the safety of Polish airspace have been launched,” it said.

On the night from Thursday to Friday, another Russian missile attack took place on Ukraine.

“We would like to inform you that intense long-range aviation activity of the Russian Federation is being observed tonight, related to missile strikes of Tu-95, Tu-22 and MIG-31 aircraft carried out against objects located in the territory of Ukraine,” the Operational Command said in an entry published on Friday in the morning on portal X.

As added, all necessary procedures to ensure the safety of Polish airspace have been launched, and DORSZ is monitoring the situation on an ongoing basis.

“We warn that Polish and allied aircraft have been activated, which may result in increased noise levels, especially in the south-eastern part of the country,” the operational command emphasized.

Attacks on Kharkov, Kryvyi Rih and Zaporizhia

On Friday morning The Russian army fired rockets at, among others, Kharkov. According to initial reports, the attack did not cause any civilian casualties, but disrupted electricity supplies.

The mayor of Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in eastern Ukraine, Oleksandr Vikuł, also informed about the night-time Russian missile attack, without providing details. The Russians fired eight rockets at Zaporizhia – a city located in southern Ukraine.
