A conference of representatives of the authorities and industry of the United States and Ukraine will be held in December, the White House announces. This is part of American efforts to increase the production of weapons for Kiev’s defense needs.
As National Security Council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson announced in a statement, the two-day conference on December 6-7 will be attended by representatives of the White House and the ministries of diplomacy, defense and trade from both countries, as well as representatives of defense companies.
Watson: The US wants to significantly increase weapons production
The talks will concern “exploring opportunities for joint production and other industrial cooperation in Ukraine.”
“The conference is part of the U.S. government’s efforts to significantly increase weapons production to support Ukraine’s fight for freedom and security,” Watson said. It is also intended to be a continuation of the talks started during the September international arms industry forum organized by Ukraine.
