On the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the reconstruction of the Warsaw Old Town, the outstanding singer Jakub Józef Orliński will perform on the New Town Square. There are a lot of attractions for residents and tourists, not just musical ones.

We will see a show of photos from the reconstruction of the capital from the collections of the Warsaw Museum. The first birthday evening will crowned Silent Disco on the Old Town Square.

On Saturday, July 19, the Melody Dance Orchestra and the rhythm founded by Jan Młynarski and Jacek Namysłowski will perform on the New Town Square. In the tribute to the traditions of bands such as the Orchestra of the Łopatowski Brothers or the Orchestra of Karol Bovery, the musicians will bring to life to the dance of Jazz 40. The concert will be diversified by the Klacyk Group, one of the oldest improvised theaters in the country. The dance jazz performed by the musicians will complement colorful stories from the time of reconstruction.

They will show unknown nooks and crannies

As part of the old town's birthday, everyone will be able to look into the art studios under the care of the Warsaw Conservator of Monuments, visit the courtyards and basements inaccessible on a daily basis. Guides as part of specially organized walks will show less known places of the Old and New Town. This is an opportunity for a new look at the facades, decorations and details.

In addition, on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the opening of the rebuilt Old Town market and the 80th anniversary of the start of the reconstruction of Warsaw, everyone willing will have the opportunity to squeeze their hand on a large canvas and send “greetings from the Warsaw Old Town”. The interactive event will take place in the building of the old Scek powder, where the canvas will be hung as a symbol of memory and solidarity with the historical undertaking of the city's reconstruction.
