A concrete mixer collided with a passenger car at the intersection of Odlewnicza and Marywilska streets. The firefighters had to use plumbing tools to retrieve the driver of the car. Two people were admitted to the hospital.
The services received a report about the accident around 19.30. – A Volskwagen passenger car collided with a Mercedes concrete mixer. The drivers are sober. The passenger and the driver of the passenger car were taken to the hospital – informs Rafał Markiewicz from the Warsaw Police Headquarters.
At the scene of the accident, apart from the police and the ambulance service, there are two fire brigades. As Michał Konopka from the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service told us, firefighters had to cut the body of a Volkswagen in order to get out with a driver. – The jammed person was conscious when he was transferred to the care of the emergency medical team – he adds.
– The concrete mixer hit the side of the passenger car from the driver’s side – describes Artur Węgrzynowicz from tvnwarszawa.pl. The front part of the vehicle is completely destroyed after the collision and rescue operation. – A technical rescue group was sent to the site. Both vehicles are badly damaged – he adds.
