Warsaw. A drunk mother was walking with her child. The case will be dealt with by a family court

Policemen stood in the road of a drunk 24-year-old running a stroller with a child of several months. The toddler was hospitalized and a young woman to the police detention center. It blew almost 1.5 per mil.

A few days ago, just after 6pm, policemen patrolling Targowa Street intervened with a young woman running a stroller.

“The woman resisted him and walked a slalom. A child was lying in a pram. A woman did not react to the commands of policemen, tried to leave and jerked a pram” – she described nadkom. Paulina Onyszko from the Warsaw VI Police District Headquarters. The officers tried to calm the woman. From the 24-year-old they sensed a strong smell of alcohol.

After a while, a motorized police patrol appeared on the spot. “A breat with breathalyzer showed that the woman was actually drunk. Policemen called an ambulance in place. Rescuers said that the infant was chilled and decided to transport him to the hospital. There, after medical examinations, the toddler was taken to the hospital ward,” added Onyszko.

Police: blew almost 1.5 per mille

The police detained the child's mother and transported her to the police station at Jagiellońska Street. There, a young woman was again examined by a breathalyzer. “She had almost 1.5 per mille of alcohol in the breath,” the policewoman said. The 24-year-old went to the police detention center, and when she sobered up, she was questioned.

Materials from this intervention went to policemen from the juvenile department and pathologies who established a facility to which a 6-month-old girl would go after leaving the hospital. The family court also notified about the case, which is to issue a decision regarding further childcare.

Policemen emphasized that children's safety is a common matter. “React when you will witness a similar situation,” they appealed.
