Warsaw. A parade of cyclists will pass through the streets of the city

On the occasion of World Bicycle Day, on Saturday, June 3, an international parade of cyclists will pass through the streets of Warsaw. Traffic disruptions may occur.

The Warsaw Bicycle Festival will start at 12 at Zamkowy Square, under the Sigismund III Vasa Column. From there, two-wheelers will go to Osiedle Jazdów, where the second part of the event will take place, i.e. an occasional picnic – scheduled from 14 to 18. The program included e.g. artistic and literary workshops, walks around Jazdów, bicycle shows, learning tricks on unicycles and conversations with interesting guests.

At noon, an international bicycle parade will set off from Plac Zamkowy – representatives of several embassies have announced their participation in the event. Participants will move along the following streets: Miodowa, Senatorska, Plac Teatralny, Senatorska, Plac Bankowy, al. “Solidarity”, Śląsko-Dąbrowski bridge, al. “Solidarity”, Targowa, al. Zieleniecka, Washington roundabout, Poniatowskiego avenue and bridge, Aleje Jerozolimskie, Dmowskiego roundabout, Marszałkowska, Królewska, Grzybowska, al. Jana Pawła II, ONZ roundabout, Prosta, Daszyńskiego roundabout, Towarowa, Zawiszy square, Aleje Jerozolimskie, Dmowskiego roundabout, Marszałkowska, Constitution square, Piękna, Jazdów.

“Cyclists will have to cover nearly 17 kilometers, the ride will take less than two hours. The parade will be secured by the police. There may be temporary suspensions of traffic on the route, which will also affect the running of public transport” – informed the capital city hall.
