There will be no penalty for a resident of Mokotów for planting flowers in front of the tenement house. – The district office took into account the fact that it is an action in good faith whose intentions are correct – said spokesman Mokotowa Tomasz Keller. Earlier, officials wanted Sylwia to pay a thousand zlotys for the illegal occupation of the road lane.
We described the story of Sylwia on Tuesday. In front of the tenement house at Bałuckiego Street, she removed several paving cubes on her own and planted flowers in facade discounts. In total, there are five small flower beds fenced with low fences. Phloxes, tulips, hydrangeas and maciejka grow in them.
Someone did not like her initiative. The case was reported to the office. Mrs. Sylwia tried to get along with officials and legalize her actions, but it was decided that she unlawfully seized the road lane. As a result, a penalty of PLN 1,000 was imposed on it.
“Action in good faith”
After the media publicized the case, it turned out that officials decided to withdraw from their decision. – The district will depart from imposing a fine for seizing the road lane – said Tomasz Keller, spokesman for the Mokotów District Office.
Withdrawal from punishment, however, does not mean that Sylwia's actions were considered legal. – In fact, a resident of Bałuckiego Street – initiator of planting – there is no legal title to change the development of the urban area, because she operated without the appropriate permission of the road administrator, but the district office took into account the fact that it is an action in good faith, whose intentions are correct – explained the spokesman.
At the same time, he announced that “the next steps in this matter would be taken after additional analysis, in cooperation with a resident, respecting the law.”

“I felt intimidated”
Mrs. Sylwia gave our editorial office on Wednesday afternoon that she had not yet received official information ex officio regarding the withdrawal from the penalty imposed on her.
Let us remind you that the woman told us earlier that her contacts with Mokotów officials were not successful. – There was no dialogue or attempt to communicate. There was a proven that I broke the law and I had to punish me so that nobody would think of doing similar things. I felt intimidated during the year and a half – she admitted.
