As Monika Nawrat from the Warsaw Police Headquarters told us, the report about the incident was received by the police at 5.15 p.m. – Between Świętokrzyska Street and the Dmowski roundabout, tram number 18 hit a pedestrian. A man is wrapped in an ambulance. The deduction took place when the pedestrian was passing in a forbidden place – the policewoman said. “The driver was sober,” she said.
Mateusz Szmelter from tvnwarszawa.pl, who was at the scene, said that the trams were facing Konstytucji Square. – The left lane of Marszałkowska Street in the direction of Bankowy Square is also blocked. In addition to the police, the traffic supervision of the Public Transport Authority and the employees of the Warsaw Trams work on site, our reporter described.
