The interruption in the supply of hot water and heating will begin on Saturday, August 24 at 11 p.m. and will last until August 31, also until 11 p.m.. As Veolia reported in a press release, the break is necessary to complete work on the reconstruction of the heating network, which is being carried out as part of the construction of a tram to Wilanów.
“As part of the investor's plans, works to remove the conflict between the existing heating network and this investment began in 2023 and are being carried out in stages on a 3.3 km section. The planned shutdown of heat concerns the last stage of works on a 240 m section in the area of Belwederska and Sobieskiego streets,” Veolia reported.

A large part of the buildings affected by the exclusion are 10-storey blocks. The inconvenience will affect up to several thousand people. “The managers of the buildings affected by the interruption in heat supply – housing cooperatives and communities, were informed by Veolia Energia Warszawa SA about the temporary suspension of hot water supply 16 days before the start of the works” – the company assures.
According to the latest announcements by the investment contractor and the Tramwaje Warszawskie company, the tram to Miasteczko Wilanów will be launched at the turn of October and November. In the first half of next year, work will continue on the road system, planting greenery, installing lighting and rebuilding bicycle paths.
