Warsaw. Accident at the Marymont metro station. Impediments

On Monday evening, there was an accident at the Marymont metro station. Firefighters reported that one person was trapped under the train. Warsaw Public Transport informed about difficulties.

“Due to the incident at the MARYMONT station, there are difficulties in the operation of M1 line trains. The M1 line runs on the DW. GDAŃSKI – KABATY – DW.GDAŃSKI route,” we read in the WTP announcement.

The Marymont, Młociny, Wawrzyszew, Stare Bielany, Słodowiec and Plac Wilsona stations were excluded from passenger traffic.

“A replacement bus line is being launched on the route: Metro Młociny – Kasprowicza – Słowackiego – Mickiewicza – Andersa – Dw. Gdański. Additional vehicles have been launched on line 6,” WTP reported.

Senior Captain Wojciech Kapczyński from the Warsaw Fire Department confirmed that there was an accident. – The person was under the train, was evacuated and transferred to the care of the emergency medical team. She was unconscious and was taken to the hospital, the firefighter said.
