Warsaw. Accident on the tracks. Difficulties on the second subway line

On Wednesday, there was an accident at the Copernicus Science Center station. – An outsider invaded the tracks – said spokeswoman for the Warsaw Metro, Anna Bartoń. The metro ran in the loops Bemowo – Rondo ONZ and Dworzec Wileński – Bródno.

Passengers traveling on the M2 metro line had to reckon with difficulties. At the Copernicus Science Center station, an outsider entered the track, unfortunately, he did not survive. The subway ran in loops.

“For technical reasons, at the Metro Nauki Kopernik station, the metro line is divided into two loops: Bemowo loop – Daszyńskiego roundabout – Bemowo and Bródno loop – Dworzec Wileński – Brodno” – informed the Public Transport Authority.

– There was a fatal accident. The police are working on the spot – later told us by young Cpt. Łukasz Płaskociński from the press team of the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Warsaw.

Replacement communication is launched in both directions in the form of extension of the basic bus lines 102, 105, 125, 202, 255 on the route: Daszyńskiego roundabout, Prosta, ONZ roundabout, Świętokrzyska, Kopernika, Tamka, Świętokrzyski bridge, Zamoście, Sokola, Metro National Stadium – informed the Public Transport Authority.

The additional “Z” line ran in the loops of Rondo Daszyńskiego, Prosta, Świętokrzyska, Kopernika, Tamka, Świętokrzyski bridge, Zamoście, Sokola, Zamoyskiego, Jagiellońska, al. Solidarności, Targowa, Dw. Wileński.

According to the spokeswoman for the Warsaw Metro, Anna Bartoń, the traffic was resumed at 18.55.
