Warsaw. Accident on Wolska, collision of a bus with a tram

A bus, a tram and a car collided on Friday afternoon in Warsaw's Wola district. One person will be taken to hospital, but police say it's unlikely to be the result of the collision.

The three-vehicle accident occurred at around 1 p.m. on Wolska Street, near Fort Wola. – According to witnesses, the bus driver fainted – Kamil Sobótka from the press department of the Warsaw Police Headquarters told us. He added that none of the passengers of the bus or tram were hurt.

The emergency medical service also reported the accident. “As a result of the incident, the bus driver was injured. He requires further diagnostics and hospitalization and has already been taken to hospital. Initial findings indicate that the man fainted while driving,” the Provincial Emergency Medical Service Station “Meditrans” in Warsaw reported on social media. Four emergency medical teams were on site.

There are traffic disruptions. According to the Public Transport Authority, they affect trams on line no.: 26, 74 and 78. They were directed to detours through Radiowa, Dywizjonu 303, Obozowa and Młynarska. “The launch of bus line Z is underway on the route: os. Górczewska – Górczewska – Powstańców Śląskich – Połczyńska – Fort Wola – Cm. Wolski” – announced ZTM.
