The 22-year-old was detained by officers from the Warsaw-Okęcie Border Guard Station at Chopin Airport during passport control after the arrival of the plane from Antalya, Turkey.

The 32-year-old was arrested on the premises of the Border Guard facility in Warsaw at ul. Taborowa.

While checking the man in available IT systems, it turned out that his details were listed in the Interpol database as a wanted person with a red notice issued by the Ukrainian law enforcement authorities for a number of crimes, including assault, kidnapping, threats, theft and hijacking of means of transport – says Capt. On Wednesday, May 15, in the Grójec poviat, police officers from the provincial headquarters in Radom detained a 32-year-old Ukrainian citizen who had been wanted for several years with an Interpol red notice for causing a fatal accident in Ukraine.
