The police detained five people regarding the robbery of a jewelry salon in Italy. Two of them heard the allegation of robbery and went to temporary detention. Jewelry worth PLN 115,000 was stolen.
We informed about the robbery at the jewelry salon at Popular Street on Friday. According to the police, a masked man entered the store, who, threatening the object reminiscent of a weapon, demanded from the owner of the release of jewelry. The seller carried out his order, after which the perpetrator packed valuables into the bag and left.
The store owner called the police. He estimated the losses at around PLN 115,000.
The activities were conducted by officers of the Patrol and Intervention Department from Warsaw's Italy and operational policemen from the Ochocka headquarters. “Intensive arrangements began to determine the perpetrator, who was a part of the stolen jewelry while escaping from the bags. A police guide with a patrol and transformation dog was called to the place, who led policemen around Płomyka Street and lost the trail” – says aspirant Małgorzata Gędczyńska in a message , spokeswoman for the Warsaw Police Headquarters III.
They tracked down a car that the perpetrator drove away from the store
As the policewoman describes, as part of the operational work, the criminals secured monitoring. His analysis led them to Mokotów. “The operational revealed the vehicle to which the perpetrator got on and drove away after the robbery. The criminal took observation and noticed how at some point a car tow truck arrived, on which a BMW vehicle is to be drawn to, which the perpetrator drove away from the vicinity of the scene” – informs Asp. Gębczyńska.
Policemen interrupted this situation and detained four people. Further activities led them to the fifth person who could be related to the case.

Three detained persons were questioned as witnesses. Then they were released. The other two men aged 24 and 25 heard the allegation of robbery. The court accepted the prosecutor's request and the suspects will spend the next three months in custody. They are punishable by two to 15 years in prison.
Activities in the case of proceedings are supervised by the District Prosecutor's Office Warsaw Ochota in Warsaw.
