Warsaw. An employee of the Culture Center and the musician died after a brutal beating. The process is starting

The trial of Sylwester A. is starting in the District Court. He is responsible for the deadly beating of the Warsaw social worker Witold Wójtowicz. According to investigators, he dealt 17 blows in total. The man died in the hospital.

The incident occurred on June 27 last year at ul. Emilii Plater during a cyclical action of spending free meals to those in need. Sylwester A. took a queue out of order. He was noticed by the Warsaw social worker Witold Wójtowicz. In response to her, under the influence of alcohol, Sylwester A. threw him insults and headed towards him. The social worker tried to push the perpetrator, which he responded with an attack.

17 blows

– the victim did not blow, trying to cover himself with his hands. Sylwester A. inflicted a total of 17 blows, as a result of which the victim sank to the ground and lost consciousness. The perpetrator was pulled away from the victim by bystanders, but the services were called to an unconscious man only after a few minutes. Police officers determined the perpetrator's identity based on the indications of the incident witnesses at the site – said spokesman of the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw Piotr Antoni Skiba.

He emphasized that Sylwester A. struck the victim with a tightened fist in the head, and the victim died the same day after transporting to the hospital.

– During the preparatory proceedings, it was established that the cause of the death of the victim social worker was post -traumatic intracranial bleeding resulting from a given large number of blows in the head. Expert psychiatrists stated that the suspect was fully read with at the time of the incident – explained prosecutor Skiba.

Sylwester A. threatens life imprisonment

Sylwester A. confessed to the accused of the crime and explained that he was consumed that day, hence he did not remember either the course of the event or the reason for the conflict with the victim.

– Sylwester A. is an unemployed, childless bachelor, he was not punished in Poland. The act accused is punishable by imprisonment for a time not shorter in five years or a lifetime imprisonment – reported prosecutor Skiba.

The indictment in this case went to the Warsaw court at the end of October last year. The process is to start on Wednesday.
