The Warsaw Police Headquarters announced the arrest of two men suspected of theft and burglaries at two houses. – Both were detained in Skierniewice, immediately after breaking into a detached house, from which they stole jewelry and a telescope – said Sylwester Marczak, spokesman for the capital’s command.

Spokesman for the Warsaw Police Commander, Sylwester Marczak, said that the policemen of the criminal department of the Warsaw Police Headquarters were working on the case of theft and burglary of single-family houses. Two men were believed to be behind the thefts. – The activities of the policemen focused on determining who is responsible for the burglary that took place in Milanówek in the Grodzisk district. During the investigation, the policemen came to the conclusion that the men may also be related to other similar cases of burglaries from Poland, including Pułtusk and Ostrołęka, explained the superintendent.

“The developmental nature of the case”

He pointed out that a few days ago, criminals determined that the men were planning another burglary. – Therefore, they took action, during which they noticed how suspected Toyota Prius were leaving Warsaw and headed for the A2 route towards Łódź – he noted. He also stated that at some point the Toyota drove towards Skierniewice and then parked on one of the streets of the city.

“The policemen were watching the car the whole time. At one point, they noticed them returning to the car, carrying large items with them. Due to the suspicion that they may come from theft, the criminals decided to detain the men – he stressed.

After the arrest, the men were brought to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Skierniewice, where they heard two charges of burglary. By court decision, they were temporarily arrested for three months. – The case is developing. It is possible that the men will face further charges, KSP spokesman added.
