The patient went to the ambulance and the police was taken to the SOR at Lindleya Street. – He had a head injury. In the meantime, the patient fell asleep. The ambulance was waiting for him to be admitted to the ward. The rescuers released policemen – described Piotr Owczarski from “Meditrans”.
A blow to the face from a drunk patient
After 1.5 hours, the man woke up. – He realized that he was on board the ambulance, he began to dig at the door, he was aggressive. He wanted to get out of the vehicle. Then a paramedic entered the action, who wanted to calm the man. Then the patient hit the face of a paramedic. The lifeguard is shocked, the impact can be seen on the skin – said Owczarski.
We also asked the police about intervention. – There was a violation of the bodily integrity of the paramedic. He was attacked by a 61-year-old, the man was under the influence of alcohol. Fortunately, the injured employee did not suffer serious injuries – said Jacek Wiśniewski from the Warsaw Police Headquarters.
Fatal attack on a lifeguard in Siedlce
A few days ago, a lifeguard was killed in Siedlce. While helping a man with head wounds, he hurt a 64-year-old medic. The wounded was taken to the hospital, where he died.
On Sunday, the District Prosecutor's Office in Siedlce initiated an investigation into the murder of a paramedic. According to investigative findings, a 59-year-old resident of Siedlce Adam Cz. He was at a party on Saturday, in which six people participated. The man felt bad and called an ambulance. At the time of the police stopped, he had over two alcohol per body. He was taken to hospital with head injuries, his interrogation was not possible on Sunday.
On Monday, after sobering up, he heard the allegations. – The first allegation concerns the murder of a paramedic Cezary L. in this case in this case, the prosecutor assumed that the suspect acted as a result of motivation deserving special condemnation – said on Monday a spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Siedlce, prosecutor Krystyna Gołąbek. – The findings of the investigation show that the suspect dealt the paramedic with a great force one blow to the chest. As a result of injuries, the paramedic died – added the prosecutor.
The second allegation concerns the active assault on the second rescuers, whose suspect Adam Cz. He wounded in his wrist. – The paramedic who performs his duties uses the same legal protection as a public official – explained prosecutor Gołąbek. – The prosecutor assumed that the suspect acted in the intention to make at least severe damage to the rescuer's health. He used two knives. One of these knives was struck by the lifeguard, causing him injuries around the wrist – she informed.

Call for a change of regulations
On Monday, spokesman for the Ministry of Health Jakub Gołąb announced that on Wednesday at 9 a meeting with the medical community environment would be held. It will concern activities in the field of training, possible changes in the law that can be taken as soon as possible.
After Saturday's tragedy in Siedlce The National Medical Trade Union of Medical Trade Union asked for immediate action to counteract aggression against paramedics. (OZZRM), who proposed tightening penalties for assaulting medical rescuers, introducing effective mechanisms of legal protection of medical staff, introducing video monitoring during interventions in the form of cameras of flexible ZRM staff and increasing expenditure on education and social campaigns promoting respect for medical rescuers.
The Ministry of the Interior and Administration and the Ministry of Health issued a joint statement in which they declared “taking firm actions to increase the protection of medical services and ensure the effectiveness of prosecution of crimes against rescuers.”
On the other hand, Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar on Platform X declared full support and determination in the implementation of OZZRM demands.
