Warsaw. Attack at the university, the man was hospitalized

A man was attacked at one of the private Warsaw universities. “The attacker hit him on the occiput with a blunt tool,” medical rescuers informed. The victim suffered an injury and was taken to hospital.

We received information about the event at the university at Contact24 from a person claiming to be a student. According to the accounts of witnesses he cited, the young man was to hit the employee with a blunt tool in the back of the head.

Information on this matter was provided on Tuesday by the Warsaw Emergency Service. “After 11.00 at one of the universities in Śródmieście, the man was attacked in the occiput with a blunt tool. The patient refused to hospitalize” – we read in the entry of the Provincial Emergency Service and Sanitary Transport Station “Meditrans” in Warsaw on Platform X.

As added, after 10 minutes another ambulance came to the same patient, called to the same address. “A patient with dizziness went to the hospital. The police explain the causes,” the ambulance pointed out.

Our reporter Artur Węgrzynowicz unofficially determined that the attacked man is a university employee. He was taken to the hospital because of a head injury and malaise. The incident occurred in Ochota, not Śródmieście, as reported in the entry of “Meditrans”.

The police intervened at the university

We asked about this situation on Tuesday afternoon the Warsaw Police Headquarters. Commissioner Rafał Rutkowski confirmed in an interview with our editors that police officers intervened at the university. He stipulated, however, that no official notification has been submitted so far. The man was unable to indicate who hit him.

In such cases, the prosecution of the perpetrator takes place at the request of the victim.

Nobody has been detained yet. The reason for the attack is unknown.
