On the first weekend of July you will be able to ride the historic blue tram that came to the capital from Krakow. The vehicle is 113 years old and travel in it is possible in the summer season on the tourist line T.

Warsaw’s tram drivers exchanged historic trams with tram drivers from Krakow. A historic wagon arrived in Warsaw on a special carriage.

On the weekend (July 1 and 2), a tram from Krakow will run for the first time on Warsaw tracks. It will be used for special guided tours. The tram has only 20 seats and is the smallest car used in the capital. For this reason, tickets will be distributed in competitions organized by Tramwaje Warszawskie. The tram will run on unusual routes every two weeks, until September.

Holiday replacement of historic trams

The blue tram marked SN4 was produced in 1910 and was initially used in the German city of Eberswalde. He came to Krakow during World War II. Before it was meticulously renovated by Krakow’s tram drivers, for several dozen years it served as a gazebo in a holiday resort by the lake.

Varsovians lent Krakow’s tram drivers a slightly younger type N car – manufactured in 1949. This is a unique copy, because it took part in the opening of the WZ route on July 22, 1949. It also served travelers in Szczecin, and in the 1990s – after renovation in Krakow – it returned to the capital.

Both wagons will go to holiday tourist lines. In Krakow, such a line is marked with the number 0, in Warsaw – with the letter T. The Warsaw N-ka will debut in Krakow on a similar date.
