Warsaw. Car fire on Czecha Street, major disruptions

On Czecha Street, an exit road from Warsaw, the driver of a passenger car hit a tree and his car burst into flames. The street was blocked.

The police told us that preliminary information shows that the car also rolled over.

There were major traffic disruptions. – Czecha Street is blocked, there are many services on site. There are firefighters, police and ambulances – Węgrzynowicz said at 7 p.m.

“On Czecha Street in Wawer, a passenger car hit a tree, then caught fire and burned completely. Nothing happened to the driver of the car, but witnesses of the accident claim that there were also passengers in the car who escaped. The search for them is ongoing,” she said. on social media Provincial Emergency Station “Meditrans” in Warsaw.

Emergency services were at the scene of the incident, including the police, the State Fire Service and three medical rescue teams.

– The driver was driving along Czecha Street. According to witnesses, he drove on the side of the road for a long distance and then hit a tree. The car is partially hanging in the air and its front part is on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and found one person at the scene. He is a man around 30 years old who was not seriously injured. However, an ambulance with police assistance took him to hospital. The services reported that it was impossible to talk to him logically. There are also witnesses who claim that there could have been more people in the vehicle, but they were supposed to escape to the nearby forest – Węgrzynowicz, who was at the scene, found out.

The road leaving the city was blocked from the intersection of Czecha and Kajki streets. Traffic towards the center was smooth. – You can still see a fallen tree on the road. The crashed car is located several hundred meters behind Wierzchowskiego Street – said Węgrzynowicz.

– Initially, the police determined that the man was driving alone. Accompanied by officers, he was taken by ambulance to a hospital for examination for drug use. Alcohol was excluded on site, which is why such tests were ordered – Paweł Chmura from the Warsaw Police Headquarters told us.
