The celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the coronation of Bolesław the Brave at the King of Poland ended the largest show of a thousand drones in the history of the country on Sunday evening. Warsaw residents and tourists could also take part in a concert of Polish songs, a historical march, as well as watch the flight of F-16 aircraft.
Thousands of people took advantage of the offer prepared in the capital on the Vistula, at the Copernicus Science Center – on the Kościuszko coast and Tadeusz Kahl's square – on the occasion of the 1000th anniversary of the coronation of the Brave. Among others, the installation of 8-meter heads of 28 crowned Polish kings inspired by the “post of kings and Polish princes” by Jan Matejko was presented.
The historical and educational picnic of the Millennium had three sections referring to: the Middle Ages, the present and the future. In sunny, cloudless weather, the exhibition of equipment at the disposal of our army, for example, tanks: American M1A1 Abrams, German Leopard 2PL and the South Korean K2 GF had great interest.

Parade of the Polish Army and a lock attempt
Leaded by the orchestra and representative company of the Polish Army, a historical parade with symbolic figures and paintings from 1000 years of Polish history passed through the Świętokrzyski Bridge to the Błonia of the National Stadium.
Members of the last generation who demand from the government to counteract the march tried to block the march climate change and activities for environmental protection. “If we do not begin to counteract the progressive climate disaster, there will be no more parades of the 1050th anniversary” – they argued in the post on Platform X. They also made available a recording showing a blocking attempt.
The largest drone show in the history of Poland
At 14.30 a flight of F-16 aircraft prepared by the Polish Armed Forces took place over the participants' heads. During the celebrations, a ship with the Warsaw mermaid also sailed. The history of Poland was also presented on water screens – a form of image projection that creates a hologram suspended in space. There was also “Live Gniezno door” – an artistic staging, which was presented by 80 actors and the Art Color Ballet band.

“Without a great celebration, no great speeches”
Prime minister Donald Tuskwho came to Warsaw's celebrations, told reporters that he was happy with the interest and presence of tens of thousands of people. “Yes, Warsaw residents and people from all over Poland worship the millennium of the Polish Crown. (…) I am very moved,” said the head of government. Tusk's ministers also reminded about the event. The head of the Ministry of Agriculture Czesław Siekierski encouraged on the portal X to celebrate “for fireworks in mind and with concern for an unforgettable experience”. Minister of climate Paulina Hennig-Kloska She reminded that the celebrations would also be outside Warsaw – for example in July at the foot of the Gniezno cathedral.
Warsaw celebrations were originally planned for Saturday, but they were postponed on Sunday, due to national mourning in connection with the funeral Pope Francis.
In 1025, Bolesław Chrobry was crowned in the Gniezno archcathedral of Gniezno – the ceremony was most likely at Easter, which was on April 18. Chrobry died in June 1025, and the coronation of his successor, Mieszko II Lambert, took place in Gniezno on December 25, 1025.
