From Monday, September 11, the reconstruction of another section of the heating network begins at the construction site of the tram route to Wilanów. The works will result in closing the entrance from Gagarina Street to Sułkowicka Street. Drivers will make detours and buses will change routes. On the same day, road workers will start replacing the surface on Astronomów Street in Wola. They will completely shut it down for over two days.

From Monday, drivers driving along Gagarina Street from Czerniakowska must turn left at the intersection with Górska. Further on, this lane of the road will remain closed (except for access to the property). Work began on the night from Sunday to Monday.

Difficulties in Mokotów

Sułkowicka Street will lose its connection with Gagarina. Two-way traffic will be introduced on it, so that it can be entered and exited from the Belwederska side.

At the junction of Gagarina and Sielecka, those traveling from Czerniakowska will also have the opportunity to turn left towards Chełmska.

One-way traffic from Belwederska to Gagarin will be maintained on Nabielaka Street.

“On Monday, September 18, the previous traffic organization will be restored in the Sułkowicka area” – road workers declare.

Difficulties also await commuters using public transport.

Buses from line 131 heading towards the Central Station will avoid the disruptions via Sielecka, Chełmska, Dolna, Puławska and Waryńskiego streets. Line 167 towards Stare Bemowo will run along Czerniakowska and Trasa Łazienkowska. 168 and 180 on the way to Spartańska and Chomiczówka will bypass the difficulties at Sielecka, Chełmska and Belwederska. Night buses N31 and N81 to the Central Station from Jan III Sobieski will go straight on Belwederska Street.

They will close Astronomów Street to traffic

On Monday evening, from 10 pm, district road workers will start replacing the surface on Astronomów Street. It will be completely closed to traffic for just over two days, but travel on the Wola road will be difficult for another week.

During the works, Lędzka and Koszycka streets will lose connection with the road under renovation. Two-way traffic will be introduced on the latter between Astronomów and Kaprys streets. Residents leaving from there will be required to turn left into Kaprys Street.

“On Thursday, September 14, at 6 a.m., new asphalt will be laid on the street, and road workers will start rebuilding the speed bump – demolished before the renovation. During these works and while the concrete is setting, this section of the road will be fenced off and the street will lose its continuity” – handed over by the city hall.

It will not be possible to travel from Księcia Janusza Street to Ciołek until the night from Friday to Saturday, from September 22 to 23. At this time, however, it will be possible to use Astronomów Street on both sides of the threshold
