Chopin Airport in Warsaw is introducing new facilities for travelers. They are aimed especially at the oldest. – Due to the growing traffic at our airport, it sometimes happens that the waiting time to get to the security check is longer. We are aware that for the elderly it can be a big inconvenience and hardship – says Adam Sanocki, a member of the PPL board, quoted in announcement press.
Warsaw. Seniors will check in for free without queuing
– Therefore, to improve their comfort, we decided to make the Fast Track service available free of charge to people over 70. We hope that this will make it easier and hassle-free for seniors to go through our airport – he explains. The service helps speed up the passage to security checks, and thanks to that, save time and avoid waiting in line.
In the capital's port, such a faster passage path is located in two locations. One of them is in zone B of the terminal, right next to the Johnny Rockets restaurant, the other in zone E near the check-in desks LOT Polish Airlines. Of course, it is also available to other passengers, but for an additional fee. The current airport price list states that for the so-called Fast Track you have to pay 40 PLN. From 20 August Passengers who are or will be 70 years old this year can use it free of charge.
The Mysterious Room at Chopin Airport. It was opened last month
Last month, a room appeared at Chopin Airport that may also interest seniors. We are talking about the so-called peace of mind room. – We are aware that for passengers who do not tolerate being in crowds, noise, and often experience stress related to air travel, crossing the airport is quite a challenge for their psyche. The peace of mind room was created for them, where in peace, in solitude, without unnecessary stimuli, you can relax, unwind, and cool down before the next journey – says Sanocki.
The quiet room is located on the ground floor 300 terminal. The airport claims that it is used less often by passengers, which guarantees silence. The silence room has a comfortable pouffe and soft carpet. Neutral posters are hung on the walls. “Everything is conducive to calming down and guarantees a break from the hustle and bustle and intrusive stimuli,” the airport claims. Importantly, the silence room is available to every passenger at no extra charge.
