“Airport winter” has already started and will last until April 15. On Monday, snow removal equipment was presented at the capital’s port. 40 plows and snow blowers are on standby.
Chopin Airport is ready for winter. “Today, the ‘Action Winter’ parade passed on the tarmac, i.e. where planes taxi and are serviced on a daily basis. It is a group run of sets for maintaining the airport in winter,” Chopin Airport said in a statement published on social media.
As explained, several hundred employees from various companies, services and entities are responsible for winter maintenance of the port. “Of course, the main fiddle is played by the operators of snow removal and airport security units, but their work would not be possible without cooperation with, among others, Airport Operational Duty Officers, Air Traffic Controllers and airport workers,” it was explained.
All services are on standby 24 hours a day until April 15, when the “airport winter” officially ends.
