Warsaw. Collision at Płochocińska Street. The car hit the lantern. Police: the driver was not licensed

In Płochocińska there was a collision of a passenger car with a lamppost on Friday morning. The damaged vehicle stood across the road, partially blocking the traffic. According to the findings of the police, the driver was driving despite the lack of authorization.

The collision occurred around 6 o’clock on the Płochocińska section near the intersection with Białołęcka. – A Volkswagen passenger car struck a lantern. He broke it and stood across the road, causing great traffic disruption. There were problems with removing the car, so the police asked the fire brigade for help – reports Tomasz Zieliński from tvnwarszawa.pl.

– Our actions consisted only in removing the vehicle that was blocking the road. There was one fire brigade, the police and an ambulance service, informs Michał Konopka from the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service.

The driver was not licensed

According to Marta Gierlicka from the Warsaw Police Headquarters, no one was injured in the collision, but it turned out that the driver had no driving license.

– Traffic has been suspended while the car is being removed from the road. There is a large traffic jam in both directions – our reporter points out. After 7 o’clock the difficulties ended.
