Collision of a passenger BMW with a tram in Aleja Jana Pawła II. Police said there were no injuries. However, there were temporary difficulties in the running of trams.

– At 17.02, Warsaw police officers received information about a road incident in Jana Pawła Avenue, near the intersection with Nowolipki Street. Preliminary information shows that the driver of the BMW, while performing a turning maneuver towards the centre, did not give way to the tram line number 17 and led to a collision. Nobody was hurt and the event will be settled as a collision – Sergeant Jacek Wiśniewski from the press team of the Capital Police Headquarters told us.

The police officer concluded that both the driver and the driver of the car were sober.

Warsaw Public Transport, in turn, reported that trams number 17 and 33 were directed to a detour route.
